Coffee reduces diabetes risk

The analysis of 28 studies in more than a million people confirms the results of previous meta-analyses and showed that drinking six cups of coffee a day reduced the risk of type 2 diabetes by 33% compared with not drinking coffee.

Each extra cup of caffeinated coffee per day reduced the risk of type 2 diabetes by 9%, similar to a 6% decrease for decaffeinated coffee.
