Coronary artery calcium scoring best predictor of CV disease

Using data from the US National Heart Lung and Blood Institute’s Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, the authors compared six cardiovascular risk assessment tools, including high sensitivity C-reactive protein, family history, CAC score, ankle-brachial index, brachial flow-mediated dilation and carotid intima-media thickness.
