Coronary heart disease linked to male baldness

In a meta-analysis covering six observational studies with nearly 37,000 men, increasing severity of vertex baldness was linked to increasing risk of developing CHD – up to 80% in some studies.

However frontal baldness, such as a receding hairline, was not associated with increased risk of heart disease, the researchers found.
