Could gut bacteria influence cancer therapy?

Dr Jennifer Wargo from the MD Anderson Cancer Centre at the University of Texas says there is increasing evidence that gut bacteria may influence who responds to cancer therapies.

She recruited 233 patients with metastatic melanoma on systemic therapy, mostly anti-PD1-agents, from whom she took initial gut and oral microbiome samples.
