Country of origin affects type 2 prognosis

Knowing where a patient with type 2 diabetes was born may help predict their outcomes from the disease, an Australian study shows.

Using data from more than 23,000 people in NSW with type 2 diabetes (Sax Institute’s 45 and Up cohort), the researchers showed that being born in certain countries did not bode well for people who went on to develop the disease.
