CPAP adherence lower than thought

Only half of Australians prescribed CPAP therapy manage to stick with it, according to two studies presented at the 2014 scientific meeting of the Australasian Sleep Association in Perth.

The first looked at 42 patients with sleep apnoea who were started on CPAP therapy in a subsidised program.

Led by Dr Jibin Thomas from the respiratory and sleep medicine department at Austin Health, the study found that after six months
