Danes are the happiest on Earth
Researchers from the University of Warwick looked at data on 131 countries from a number of international surveys. Then they linked cross-national data on genetic distance and wellbeing.
Author and economist Dr Eugenio Proto said the results, published by the German economic research institute IZA, were surprising. “We found that the greater a nation’s genetic distance from Denmark, the lower the reported wellbeing of that nation,” he said.
