Delinquency linked to later violence in psychosis onset

Among patients experiencing first-episode psychosis in the longitudinal UK National EDEN cohort study, researchers found high levels of premorbid delinquency increased the risk for violence during psychosis by a factor of three.

Guidelines were needed on evidence-based treatment options for violence during psychosis, researchers said, adding early intervention should address antisocial traits.
