Dementia care in community improves health

The chair of health innovation in the Department of Medical Education at Curtin University, Professor Moya Jiwa, said that community services like local Alzheimer’s Association chapters have the potential to improve health outcomes for dementia patients, but are hampered by a lack of referrals from GPs.
