Diabetes and cancer diagnoses linked

People with diabetes are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer in the decade before, and in the months after their diabetes diagnosis, a Canadian study has found.

The odds of a cancer diagnosis was 23% greater in the 10 years prior to a type 2 diabetes diagnosis, and 62% higher in the first three months afterwards.
