Diagnosing knee injuries
An accurate diagnosis for most knee injuries can be made by taking a detailed history and using careful clinical examination to confirm.
This history includes the location and nature of the pain, the mechanism of injury, the development of pain, swelling, instability, locking, previous injuries, previous treatment and response.
