Diet news your patients will love

It’s a heart patient’s dream: people with high-risk heart disease may reap the most benefit by adding healthy Mediterranean foods to their diet, with little need to reduce unhealthy foods, a study suggests.

Of 15,482 patients followed, those with a diet most similar to the Mediterranean style of eating had significantly lower levels of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in 3.7 years of follow up, an international team report.
