‘Disparities’ in Vic lung cancer waiting times

Victorian patients with lung cancer may be waiting longer for their treatment if they opt to go public or if they were born overseas, a Victorian study suggests.

The median time from referral to “definitive management” was 61 days for patients referred to six public hospitals but only 30 days for those referred to two private hospitals, the Monash University authors say.
