Disrupted sleep can predict asthma

Sleep disturbance in adolescence is strongly correlated with the onset of asthma, according to research presented at the 2014 scientific meeting of the Australasian Sleep Association.   

Dr Mark Garden from the Mater Children’s Hospital and colleagues found associations between disturbed sleep and asthma at 14 years and 21 years.

For males and females, sleep disturbance and snoring was associated with asthma
