Doctors and patients at odds over chemotoxicity

Patients and their treating oncologists have different perceptions of the toxicity from chemotherapy, a European study shows.

Around two thirds of 92 women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer reported nausea  at some time during their 21 day chemotherapy cycle. However, only 24% had “nausea” noted in their patient records by their treating oncologists.
