In 2011 the ratio of male to female GPs who were either practice partners or owners was more than 2:1.

While this may not be surprising given the historical imbalance in the gender split among GPs, it is interesting to note that data from the MABEL longitudinal survey of doctors for the three years prior indicate the ratio has not budged.
