Don’t look too closely
SOMETIMES people get very close to the mirror and, when stretching the skin, notice these small yellow lesions within the substance of the lip.
Many think they have some type of cancer, but these are benign sebaceous glands, not associated with hair follicles, called Fordyce’s spots. They are more commonly found just inside the mouth at the lip margin. Everyone has them, but some have both more and larger lesions than others and these can become a significant cosmetic issue. Provided you do not stretch the lip they are not usually obvious and treatment is unnecessary.
