Driver glucose toolkit could prevent hypoglycaemia

A blood glucose toolkit in the car could prevent hypoglycaemic episodes for people with type 1 diabetes who drive, say Victorian researchers.

Dr Steven Trawley from the Australian Behavioural Research Centre in Diabetes is developing a toolkit that contains a pre-drive checklist, rapid-acting and long-acting glucose sources, a blood glucose meter, blood glucose benchmark chain and stickers.
