Ebola death toll in West Africa has reached 887

The outbreak is now the largest in the history of the disease, in terms of both deaths and cases, with about 1440 people infected.

Australian infectious diseases physician Associate Professor Sanjaya Senanayake from the Australian National University said just under 10% of the fatalities in the current outbreak has been among healthcare workers.
