Educator-led group sessions could close diabetes gap

Managing type 2 diabetes is emotionally, physically and socially challenging, according to an Australian study that suggests people might benefit from group sessions run by an educator.

Participants in the study were generally satisfied with their diabetes care but identified a need for clear and simple instruction immediately after diagnosis, report the researchers led by Professor Mary Carolan of the College of Health and Biomedicine at Victoria University.
