EULAR’s 12 Commandments for early arthritis

New recommendations on the management of early arthritis has been published by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR). The update to its 2007 guidelines contains several revisions based on expert input from 20 rheumatologists, EULAR says.

  1. Patients presenting with arthritis (any joint swelling, associated with pain or stiffness) should be referred to, and seen by, a rheumatologist, within 6 weeks after the onset of systems.
