Answer: Sex workers are at high risk of STDs, and it has been estimated that in developed countries up to 1.4% of them have HIV.

The WHO has therefore identified that health initiatives for sex workers are needed.
Initiatives could include education about condoms and the risks of injecting drug use.
A Cochrane review has found little research has been done about the effectiveness of these interventions. It only identified four suitable studies of behavioural interventions in high-income countries.
There were three studies of
