Exclude cancer in scalp nodule

Hair cover will usually protect against sun damage with squamous cell skin cancers but not basal cell cancers (BCCs).

BCCs usually grow slowly, but this grew rapidly. It was a pyogenic granuloma, a vascular proliferation which commonly occurs in pregnancy when vascular angiogenic stimulation is high. Always excise and send for histology to exclude amelanotic melanoma.
