Faith-based prevention could be a blessing

Targeting people at high risk of diabetes at their place of worship may pay off, according to new US research.

Participants for a Michigan-based diabetes prevention program were recruited by their church pastor at Sunday services; they then attended six education sessions followed by a further six telephone support calls.
