Fertility reduced minimally post caesarean section

A meta-analysis of 10 studies showed women having a caesarean had a 9% lower subsequent rate of pregnancy compared to women who delivered vaginally, the researchers said.

And analysis of 16 studies found caesareans were associated with an 11% lower birth rate.

The associations have been found in a previous systematic review but the studies included in the present one were more robust methodologically, the authors said, but added further research was still needed.
