Ovulation induction or intrauterine insemination resulted in an absolute increased risk of 4.1% of children being diagnosed with any mental disorder including autism, tic disorders, hyperkinetic disorders and conduct, emotional or social disorders.
Despite the risk being significant, it was still considered small, the researchers noted. Children born spontaneously had a 3.9% absolute risk of a mental disorder diagnosis.
