FISH oil supplements are a rich source of the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)1-3 that may provide a small to modest benefit in some adults when used alongside other treatments for depression. 4,5

However, given the evidence of an effect remains limited, fish oil supplementation should not be considered a replacement for established treatments, such as psychological therapies or antidepressants.
