Govt set to fulfil election promise on CGM devices

The federal department of health has begun consultations with educators about its expanded CGM device program, which could be rolled out as early as next year.

The Coalition promised $54 million during the 2016 election to fund CGM devices for people with insulin dependent diabetes under 21 years of age who face additional challenges in managing their condition.

Up to 4000 people are expected to benefit from the program.
