GPs need more Lyme empathy: Inquiry

GPs need a better understanding of how to treat patients presenting with complex symptoms such as those linked to Lyme-like illness, according to the final report of a Senate committee of inquiry.

The report also reveals that a controversial group of alternate medicine-leaning GPs is drawing up a guideline for treating chronic tick-borne illnesses which will be offered to the NHMRC for appraisal.
