Green tea compound could fight RA

US researchers have used a compound found in green tea to fight inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis.  

The phytochemical epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) was found to reduce ankle swelling in a pre-clinical animal model of human rheumatoid arthritis.
