Hear ye: Course takes health workers through audiometry

Nurses and allied health practitioners will have the chance to learn how to accurately perform hearing tests with the launch of a basic screening audiometry course.

The three-day course, run by Better Hearing Australia, will take participants through the basic physics of sound, the correct usage of audiometers, and the basic anatomy and physiology of the auditory pathway.

They will also learn about correct headphone placement, test technique, and how to interpret results.
