Heart failure ‘blockbusters’ on the way

The acronym “ARNI” may soon trip off doctor’s tongues as readily as “ACE inhibitor”, if the promise of a new heart failure therapy is fulfilled.

Presenting a talk to CSANZ 2015, Associate Professor Carmine De Pasquale said the new therapy is the “first time we’ve really had a mortality and symptomatic benefit in heart failure from a new agent for maybe 20 to 25 years.”
