Heart failure patients more prone to cancer

Myocardial infarction survivors have a greater risk of cancer if they go on to develop heart failure, according to research from the US and Israel.

The prospective study, which followed over 1,000 MI patients for an average of five years, found that those who developed heart failure had more than double the risk of cancer.
