Hep C outreach program to overcome specialist shortage in Tasmania

The pilot Liver Outreach Australia Program (LORA) will initially involve a roving nurse working within two GP clinics as the primary contact to provide assessment and treatment services.

There will also be access to specialist support via telehealth and participants in the pilot will be screened with FibroScan, a mobile ultrasound-like device that assesses liver damage without the need for a biopsy.
