Researchers from King’s College, London, compiled data from two surveys looking at more than 4000 people aged 50–64 years, or 65 years or older.
They found that lifetime cannabis use among the younger group increased from 1% in 1993 to 11.4% in 2007.
In London it was much higher than average, with those aged 50–64 years having an ever use of 42.8%.
