Honour for oncologist who has made a difference
Dr Michael Friedlander has more than 250 journal papers to his name and is internationally respected as a thought leader on the treatment of breast, gynaecological and testicular cancer.
He has also facilitated the enrolment of more than 1,000 patients in clinical trials.
But he’s not entirely comfortable about being singled out by the Premier of NSW as someone who has made a difference for cancer research.
He’s also honoured. The award is named for Professor Rob Sutherland, a mentor at the start of his career in the 1980s.
