STORIES FROM THE FRONT LINE

WA obstetrician-gynaecologist Dr Diana Wellby recently returned from Yemen, which has been in the grip of the “worst cholera epidemic on record”, according to the UN. Dr Wellby cared for pregnant women whose lives and the lives of their unborn babies were put at increased risk during the outbreak that has affected nearly 700,000 people and claimed 2000 lives.
