Insulin infusion shows neuro-protective potential for type 1 patients

Patients with type 1 diabetes appear to be protected from nerve damage if they use an insulin pump, according to a study by Australian doctors.

The researchers demonstrated that patients on continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) have much better nerve function than those who use insulin injections.
