Insulin use trebles in UK

The use of insulin in the UK has increased threefold over the last 20 years, researchers report.

During the same period there was a sevenfold increase in the number of people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and treated with insulin, the study found.
This compared to a 30% increase in the number of people diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
