Isoflurane damage temporary: study

A study conducted on juvenile rat neurons suggests the anaesthetic drug isoflurane has only a temporary effect on brain function.

The study published in the journal PLOS ONE precedes at least two large clinical studies under way to determine the potential risks to children and adults.
