Link between diabetes and antidepressants?
They analysed data from 22 studies and three systematic reviews, finding although some antidepressants affect glucose metabolism, any risk of diabetes associated with them is small.
The strongest evidence was found in cohort studies, including one Australian study of 1000 people showing antidepressant use was associated with an 80% increased risk of diabetes.
