Menopause, ageing and alternatives to CPAP are among dozens of topics that will grab delegates’ attention at the annual Australasian Sleep Association scientific meeting in Perth in October.
“Health professionals are just starting to realise the consequences of poor sleep,” says meeting chair Dr Maree Barnes.
“It’s more than just being grumpy and irritable and crashing your car. It has an impact in terms of malignancies, immune suppression and cardiometabolics.”
