Low dosing: NSW Health investigates St Vincent’s

The NSW health department has announced an inquiry into the response of St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, to the underdosing of 70 cancer patients by a medical oncologist.

The errors were brought to public attention in an ABC 7.30 report on 18 February which stated that medical oncologist Dr John Grygiel had under-dosed up to 70 patients with head and neck cancer having chemotherapy with carboplatin over a three-year period.
