Metastatic trap captures cancer cells

If you can’t beat them – catch them.  So, at least, think Spanish researchers, who have devised a way to trap ovarian metastatic cancer cells in the peritoneum of mice.

Implanting their trap (known as M-trap) into seven mice, modelling metastatic human ovarian cancer, resulted in an increase in mean survival of 198.8 days compared with 117.5 days for seven mice without M-trap.
