Migraine linked to hypothyroidism

People with headache disorders are more likely to develop hypothyroidism, a large new US study shows.

Migraine sufferers are at the greatest risk for developing the condition, but people with a range of other headache disorders also face a higher risk of hypothyroidism, compared to the headache-free.

The risk goes up by 41% in people with migraine, and by 21% for other headache disorders, including cluster and tension-type headaches.
