MMR fears still sway parents in Europe
EUROPEAN nations are committed to eliminating measles and rubella by 2015 but latest epidemiological trends are “not reassuring”.
“In 2011 alone, up to August, more than 28,000 cases were reported already,” an editorial states.
“One of the main obstacles is the false perception of parents that believe MMR vaccination to be more dangerous than the disease itself.”
