More women weigh up self-induced abortion
THE number of women considering self-induced abortion hit a record high this year, according to pregnancy counselling service Children by Choice.
Spokeswoman Kate Marsh says figures show that in January 15% of women’s contacts with the Queensland-based service involved disclosure of thoughts of self-induced termination, plans to perform it or actual attempts.
