The prospective study of more than 7700 women at 40 sites who were followed for a mean 7.1 years after breast cancer diagnosis found mortality was 30% lower among those using daily MVM compared to non-users, after adjustment for confounders such as age and cancer stage.

The researchers said the study design limited causal interpretation but the association between supplement use and mortality was “highly robust”.
