NDIS offers ‘incredibly good value’

It’s early days, but The National Disability Insurance Scheme is starting to impress health professionals and academics.

Since a modest launch in 2013, the scheme (also known as DisabilityCare) has expanded to include people in:

  • Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, NSW, up to the age of 65
  • South Australia under the age of 13
  • Tasmania aged 15 to 24
  • The Barwon region of Victoria up to the age of 65
  • ACT up to the age of 65
  • Swan, Kalamundra and Mundaring in Western Australia
