New model of TIA care a winner

A new model of care for patients with suspected transient ischaemic attacks and minor strokes has saved a Sydney hospital thousands of bed days without worsening outcomes, researchers report.

The Royal North Shore Hospital had previously treated all people presenting with suspected TIA as inpatients, spending an average of over five days in hospital.
